KMSP field elevation and terrain file for FS2004

KMSPFlatten.bgl

Installation: Please copy this file to your ...\BluePrint Simulations\KMSP\Scenery  folder.  Restart the simulator.

Note:  The use of this file with the default FS2004 elevation mesh will wipe out most terrain elevation features at the south end of the airport and will generate unreal steps with straight edges.  FS2004 only allows for rectangular flat areas to be created and the terrain around KMSP has significant elevation changes toward the south.  The use of this file with third party elevation meshes for the KMSP area has not been tested and successful results cannot be guaranteed.

Low Resolution Texture Sets

The low resolution texture sets are intended to improve performance in some computers.  The installation of the low resolution texture WILL result in lower quality texturing and loss of detail for some buildings in the scenery.

Please make sure that you have installed the corresponding version of the scenery before running the low resolution texture installer.  A detailed explanation of BluePrint's version codes is given here.

KDAL v1.2.1 for FS2004

KDALv1.2.1LRTexFS9.msi

KDAL v1.2.2 for FSX

KDALv1.2.2LRTexFSX.msi

Low Resolution texture set installation instructions:

  1. Please make sure that you have the corresponding version of the desired scenery installed in your computer, either as a result of a direct purchase or an upgrade.

  2. Download the desired low resolution texture set installer and save it in a folder of your choice.

  3. Run the low resolution texture set installer.

Note:  The low resolution texture installers will permanently replace numerous files created during the original installation.  If you want to return to the original high resolution version, please follow these steps:

  1. Uninstall the low resolution textures using the "Add or Remove Programs" feature in your Windows Control Panel.  (You may also uninstall the upgrade by running the upgrade installer and selecting the remove option.)

  2. Run the original installer and select the "Repair" option.
